Religious Trauma Context: LDS, former LDS, experience with Catholics, Protestants, and evangelicals

About

I have a Masters of Science in Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University (2014), and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (but I primarily see individuals) in Texas, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and Florida. I have specialized in complex trauma for eight years. I presented at GCRR's 2023 Religious Trauma Conference on "Repression of the Authentic Self in Religious Trauma."

I have specialized in women with complex trauma for the last eight years, and in the last few years have added a religious trauma certification (from GCRR) to my list of specialties. Like other forms of trauma, religious trauma often manifests as anxiety, depression, and troubled relationships. I mostly work with women, but I am an ally to the LGBTQ community as well. My goal for my clients is to help them untangle the web of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep them feeling stuck.
