On the weekend of May 29-30, the Global Center for Religious Research (GCRR) hosted the 2021 International eConference on Religious Trauma, which brought together specialists, psychiatrists, and researchers from all over the world to discuss the causes of religious trauma, as well as its manifestations and treatment options for those afflicted with the sometimes adverse effects associated with religion. The purpose of this multidisciplinary virtual conference was to advance the clinical and psychological understanding of religious trauma, as well as provide resources for therapeutic practitioners and sufferers alike in their fight against religious trauma.
