GCRR Press and SHERM Journal
Peer Review Policy and Procedure

Both GCRR Press and its periodical, SHERM Journal, take the quality and integrity of our published research seriously. We maintain a rigorous peer review process to ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated objectively and thoroughly. Our peer review policy and procedure are as follows:

  1. Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts online through our website or via email. The submission should include the manuscript, an abstract explaining how the research provides a unique contribution to academia, and any other accompanying materials.

  2. Initial screening: The manuscript is first screened by the General Editor to ensure that it meets the basic requirements for consideration. This includes checking for plagiarism, adherence to the Press' scope and focus, and compliance with formatting guidelines.

  3. Assigning reviewers: The General Editor then selects two or more expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise, impartiality, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  4. Review process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's quality, originality, significance, and validity. They provide detailed comments on the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript, as well as suggest revisions as needed.

  5. Editorial decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendation, the General Editor makes a decision regarding the manuscript's acceptance, rejection, or need for revision. This decision is then communicated to the author(s) along with the reviewers' comments.

  6. Revision process: If revisions are needed, the author(s) will be given a deadline to revise the manuscript and resubmit it. The revised manuscript is then sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

  7. Final decision: Based on the revised manuscript and the reviewers' recommendation, the General Editor makes a final decision regarding the manuscript's acceptance or rejection.

  8. Publication: Once a manuscript is accepted, it is professionally typeset, copyedited, reviewed one last time by the author(s), proofread, and then published in both print and online.

GCRR Press ensures that all submissions are kept confidential and that the review process is conducted objectively and without bias. Reviewers are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and are instructed to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript throughout the review process. We strive to provide prompt, fair, and constructive feedback to authors while maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing.
