Every four years, the Global Center for Religious Research (GCRR) must seek replacements for certain executive positions within the organization. We are now accepting applications for the following roles to help run the GCRR Academic Society:​​
 

• Society Treasurer
   

Required Qualifications:
 

• currently possesses a doctoral degree relating to the social-scientific study of religion, religious studies, philosophy, or theology

• currently or previously taught college-level courses relating to theological, philosophical, or religious studies

• currently has at least one academic publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal or peer-reviewed book publishing company

• will be a member of the GCRR Academic Society at the time of appointment
   

Officer Obligations:

​

• maintain a good standing in GCRR academic society

• contribute at least one article to SHERM academic journal during appointment

• attend the quarterly board meetings via online video chat to discuss and vote on action items

• actively promote and advertise GCRR among colleagues and across social media platforms

• actively encourage others to join and participate in the GCRR academic society
